    He Pua Mā te katoa was established for the well being of the whanau/anau providing services for physical injuries, work related health conditions and mental health conditions.

    Rongoā Māori is a traditional healing system used in te ao Māori, we use plant based remedies and spritual and physical therapies. Our range of rongoā methodologies include: Mirimiri, Romiromi, whakawhiti kōrero moteatea and karakia.

    We have experienced kaimahi with years of mātauranga in traditional Healing practices.

    We practice with safety and with cultural supervision.

    My biggest acknowledgement and aroha is to my ancestors, my Mama Te Pua piki o Maungaroa Solomon of Arorangi Rarotonga and her Mother Teuira Napa who passed their Mātauranga to me. My Dad from Ngai Tahu and our ancestor Maru Kaitatea and my Brothers Fred and Anthony are healers .

Romiromi Bodywork

Romiromi originates from the centuries old Wānanga lore of traditional Māori healing. Romiromi utilises a natural approach to restoring wellness of the mind, body, spirit and emotional being.

Romiromi healing bodywork is multi-layered combining ancient karakia (prayer), pressure on haemata points for the release of cellular blockages, body alignment and rebalancing of energy centres. Physically it works on the central nervous system and spiritually helps to balance mauri (life essence) with wairua (spirit). Romiromi can include mirimiri counselling and clearing of extraneous energy and burdens not serving you.

Romiromi envigorates all the systems of the body to strengthen their natural functions.

As humans we accumulate tension, stress and trauma throughout our lives. This can manifest as pain, illness or dysfunction on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Romiromi helps reverse the effects these issues have on us by bringing balance back to the body.

I’m not use to Karakia but felt a different feeling after and at times felt I had left my inner body to another realm. Brenda did some deep tissue massage and then applied cupping, I was able to return to training the next day. The knowledge that Brenda has in sport rehabilitation is great.

    My name is Vilamu Malaitai I am the owner of Poly Active. I work with all Polynesian people. I work at the same gym that Brenda has her Hauora and heard alot about her services, so I booked an appointment to see her, she explained what she does and I chose to have a deep tissue Romiromi. A karakia was had at the beginning of our session and I felt a warm feeling in the room that I cant explain. I have had a lot of massages, but this massage and the techniques she used I have never experienced. At the end of the session we had another Karahia. I have recommended all my collegues to her services.

  • Loss of my Baby

    I was 6 months pregnant when the Dr’s discovered a tumour, my baby had to be terminated so the tumour in my stomach could be removed. I couldnt move forward with the decision of the termination but was referred to Brenda He Pua mā te katoa Hauora, as soon as I met Brenda I felt a very warm feeling and as she proceeded to let me know what she does I was overwhelmed by her approach of Ti kanga and Whakawhanaungatanga. I have been having ongoing appointments with Brenda. ( Recommend to all who are experiencing trauma)
